fermentlife® fermented turmeric powder is the result of a standardized, controlled fermentation process. After fermentation, the product combines all the health-promoting properties of the turmeric root. These are further enhanced by additional fermentation-specific changes, such as increased bioactivity. The complex synergistic plant matrix contains a large number of health-promoting components in significant quantities, including various curcuminoids, essential oils, turmerones, flavonoids, and numerous metabolic products such as organic acids and prebiotic polysaccharides. As part of the fermentation process, not only has the health value been enhanced, but also the development of a new and unique flavor profile has been realized.
The naturally poor solubility of turmeric ingredients has also been positively influenced. For safe storage conditions, the microorganisms are deactivated after fermentation. It is scientifically proven that deactivated strains exhibit health-promoting effects, such as immunomodulatory properties. The positive influence on the microbiome by the exopolysaccharides (EPS) contained in the powder is also scientifically documented. All these properties characterize the so-called parabiotic effect. The turmeric powder is well-tolerated and serves as an ideal component of health-promoting products. It is perfectly free-flowing and boasts a wide range of versatile applications in various contexts.
